HOW IT WORKS

The 3-Step Framework

Apply the same repeatable process for the most popular dung-loving, ground dwelling mushroom species.

💉1. Inoculate

Introduce mushroom culture (spores or liquid culture) into a sterile food source like oats or rye. Must use an injection port.

  • Work clean: sanitize hands and surfaces.

  • Use sterile needles and flame between uses.

  • Keep jars sealed except for filtered gas exchange.

Make sure to keep a relatively clean environment. You can inject in open air with few problems.

2. Colonize

Let mycelium grow! Keep your inoculated substrate (AKA grains with spores) warm and still so white mycelium can take over.

  • Target 68–75°F (20–24°C) for many species.

  • Avoid direct sunlight; steady temps are your friend.

  • Shake when 1/4 bag or jar is white. When fully covered, mix with pasteurized soil inside a modified tub.

🍄 3. Fruit

Mix colonized grains with pasteurized soil and wait 14 days. Give fresh air, humidity, and partial light to trigger beautiful mushrooms.

  • High humidity (85–95%) during pinning.

  • Gentle light 8–12 hrs/day helps orientation.

  • Harvest before caps flatten for best texture.

After harvest, put mushrooms back into fruiting conditions 3x.
